Blog Post Four// Two Trees

In Eden, God made two trees and He set them before us.

One was life—the other, death.
One was delight—the other, duty.
One was freedom—the other, bondage.

We chose wrong.

On Calvary, man made a tree and it was set before the Son of God.

Its shape, a cross—
Its weight, more than the sins of the world.

He chose to hang there.
He chose to right our wrong.
He chose so we could choose again.

//

God made two trees and sets them before us.

Now, we choose life—not death.
Surrender—not striving.
Hope—not shame.
Relationship—not rules.

You are God’s child—
Christ’s friend—
Justified, adopted, complete again.

You were worried—now confident.
Separated—now sealed.
Fearful—now powerful.

You are

Salt
Light
Chosen
Appointed
Confident
Loved
Safe
Forgiven
Free.

Everyday, there are two trees…

We choose Freedom.
