Blog Post 33// Psalm 91 Part 8

“He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
 I will deliver him and honor him. With long life I will satisfy him,
and show him My salvation.” Psalm 91:15-16

Here’s the last thing. On the last day of this Psalm:

Remember to call upon Jesus.

Jesus is never far from those who are looking for Him. He says, “Call out to me, I WILL answer.”

He’s the worst hide and seek player in the world. He wants to be found by you.

He is not waiting for you to get your life right first. In fact, the truth is, you won’t get your life right without Him. He’s not waiting for you to be more disciplined in your walk with Him.

He says “I am okay with your mess. I am okay with your doubts. I am even okay with your inconsistency. Just call me today.”

The simple yet amazing fact about this Psalm is that these promises are available to those who call upon Jesus.

If you’ve been living in your own strength, apart from the strength Jesus provides, what would it look like for you to return to the secret place?

How can you be more aware of the Holy Spirit? What will it take for you to accept the invitation to come close and remain in His presence? Do you need to say no to fear? Do you need to make sure you stay connected with others? Do you need a perspective shift? Maybe it’s just a resetting to start reading God’s word again? To get back to praying with your family?

Whatever it is, I can’t think of a better time to get back to the secret place than today.

Don’t wait, He’s waiting. Yeah, I like how that sounds.
