Blog Post 51// I Have a Trust Problem

When I say, people are fully dependent on God, it makes sense to most of us. We know the words of Jesus when He says:

You are not even alive except for God speaking and saying it so. Man lives not by bread alone, but because God is talking. God is sustaining you.

We think it’s physical bread that sustains us, it’s actually spiritual bread. The bread of life sustains and nourishes us. What’s unfortunate is that we have to typically get to a wilderness moment to realize that—an emergency or crisis.

I often require a pressing need to press in to the one who can meet that need. Who can meet every need.

I have to reach a point where I have no other options except to trust Jesus.

P.B Power said it like this:

God loves trust; it honors Him. He who trusts the most shall sorrow least. If there were continual trust there could be continual peace.

I think I have a trust problem…

It’s kind of silly. I trust God that my eternity is secure, I am going to Heaven, but I have a hard time trusting that He will provide for my needs on Earth.

Sure, God, yeah. You are preparing a place for me after I die, a place I’ve never seen, streets of gold, where my sins are forgiven, I’m sure of it! BUT how in the world is this bill gonna get paid right now?

If God has Heaven taken care of for you, can you trust Him that He also has earth figured out?
