Blog Post Twelve// God is Slow — Part 2

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. James 1:4

So where were we?

Part 2 of God is Slow. You can go back and read Part 1 if you’d like. But I’ll sum it up for you:

God moves slower than I want Him to move.
Patience is a struggle for me.
I am Veruca Salt on most days (That’s a Willy Wonka reference. Did I need to explain that?)

This may not be a great summary.

There are a few stories in the Bible of people taking matters into their own hands when they felt like God wasn’t moving fast enough. Here’s what didn’t happen to them: anything good. So please,

Don’t try to get ahead of God when He isn’t moving fast enough for you.

It never ends well. But I think there’s a secret to letting patience have its perfect work, and it has to do with the Dumbo ride at Disney World.

Check back tomorrow and we’ll talk about it.
